Big news from the Megarevo team this week — and it’s the kind of milestone we’ve been working toward for a while.

On September 9, we signed the agreement for our new energy storage system production base in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai. Local government leadership joined us for the signing, and we're bringing on strategic investment from Zhengling Holdings alongside it. It's a big step, and we wanted to take a minute to talk about what it actually means — not just for Megarevo, but for the customers and partners who've been with us along the way.

Here's the short version: for most of our history, Megarevo has been known as an inverter company. Storage inverters, PCS units, the power conversion hardware that sits at the heart of a storage project — that's where we started, and it's still core to what we do. But over the last couple of years, more and more of our customers have been asking for something bigger than a box that converts power. They want a full system. Inverter, battery, enclosure, controls, integration — one supplier, one point of accountability, one company that stands behind the whole thing performing together.

That's exactly what this new base is built for.

Why this matters more than "more factory space"

It would be easy to read this as just another capacity expansion — bigger factory, more output, same business as before but at scale. That's not really the story here. Building storage inverters and building complete storage systems are genuinely different manufacturing challenges. A system brings together battery modules, thermal management, fire detection and safety, enclosures rated for wildly different climates (think desert heat vs. coastal humidity vs. subzero winters), and software that has to make all of those pieces talk to each other reliably, for years, without anyone touching it.

Up to now, a lot of that system-level integration work in our industry gets handled on a project-by-project basis, sometimes stitched together from multiple vendors. That's workable, but it's also where a lot of the headaches in this industry come from — mismatched components, warranty disputes nobody wants to own, integration issues that show up six months after commissioning. Standing up dedicated, in-house production for complete systems is our way of taking that risk off the table for the people who buy from us.

A quick look at how we got here

We started Megarevo in 2018 with a pretty focused mission: build genuinely good storage inverters and the technology underneath them. Along the way we picked up recognition as a national-level "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative" Little Giant enterprise here in China — a designation that basically says a company has gone deep on a specific technical niche rather than spreading itself thin. For us, that niche has been power conversion and the harder engineering problems inside it, including grid-forming PCS technology and fully modular PV-storage inverter design.

Grid-forming capability is a bit of an unsung hero in this industry. As more solar and storage gets connected to grids that weren't originally built with that much distributed generation in mind, having equipment that can actively help stabilize voltage and frequency — instead of just passively following whatever the grid is doing — becomes a real differentiator. Modular design matters for a more practical reason: it lets a project scale up later without ripping out and replacing the core equipment. Both of those design choices have shaped a lot of what we've shipped over the years.

And we've shipped a lot. As of today, we've delivered more than 200,000 storage inverters to customers around the world — factories, hospitals, farms, mining operations, oilfields, community microgrids. Our strongest markets right now are the Americas, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, and honestly, the variety of places our equipment ends up running is one of the things we're proudest of. It's not one flagship application carrying the whole business — it's a genuinely broad footprint.

The numbers behind the Zhuhai project

For anyone who likes specifics: total planned investment for the new base is RMB 300 million, with the first phase covering 14,000 square meters of production space in Xiangzhou. Once it's running at full capacity, we're targeting around RMB 400 million in annual output value from the facility. The build-out is specifically aimed at strengthening four things — standardized production of full storage systems, system integration capability, quality control, and our ability to deliver reliably at scale across multiple markets at the same time.

      Why Zhuhai

Xiangzhou District has been building out a new energy storage industry cluster, and we're glad to be part of that. Beyond the obvious logistics advantages — port access, existing manufacturing infrastructure — the district has offered strong full-life-cycle support for companies setting up here, which matters a lot when you're trying to move from signed agreement to operating factory without losing months to red tape. We're hoping to move fairly quickly from this signing into construction and eventually production, and we'll keep our R&D, manufacturing and global market teams working in parallel rather than treating this as a sequential process.

What this means if you're a partner or customer

If you've worked with us before, the short answer is: expect the same equipment you already trust, plus a growing ability to take on full system scope without bringing in a second or third vendor to fill the gaps. If you're newer to Megarevo, this is a good moment to take a look at what we're building — particularly if your projects are moving from single inverters toward full C&I or microgrid deployments where system-level accountability actually matters to your bottom line.

We don't think of this as the finish line on anything. It's really the next layer of a strategy we've had for a while: build genuinely strong core technology first, then extend outward into system-level products and solutions once that foundation is solid. The Zhuhai base is where a lot of that extension is going to happen over the next couple of years, and we're looking forward to sharing progress as construction moves forward.

Thanks to everyone in Xiangzhou District government, our new partners at Zhengling Holdings, and — most of all — the customers and installers around the world who've put over 200,000 of our inverters to work. This next chapter is built on that track record, and we don't take it for granted.

More updates on construction timelines and the first products off the new line coming soon.
